Newman's Information & Health Results
Newman is a flashy and handsome young boy. He is smart, he is fun, he is PRETTY! He can MOVE. He is sound. Right now he is all legs but we expect him to fill out to be a stunning boy. Newman's sire is none other than my MBISS Ch JLS Just a Fig Newton ROM the #1 Dalmatian for 2002 and his dam is my very pretty and super sweet Simone, JLS Soul Sister. Newman is 5th generation of JLS breeding.
Thank you to my friend Irene Nelson for coming up with "Newman" as his name. Newman was her pick puppy from my Newt x Simone litter. She loves Paul Newman! She also loved my Newt. Newman is the new man at JLS. He is a Newt son. Name fits him perfectly. The litter name was NewMo... so I named him JLS Newman NewMo. He even has a theme song of course sung to Louie, Louie. I came up with that one.
Newman made his show debut at the Dalmatian Club of America National Specialty. Nothing like diving right in! I had no idea I was going until about three weeks prior! He handled the show experience like a very happy, outgoing and confident puppy boy with a very happy tail! He did mostly well, despite his extreme happy, wiggle butt! He took 2nd in 9-12 Futurity Puppy Dogs under breeder judge John Cramer and he took 3rd in 9-12 Sweepstakes Puppy Dog under breeder judge Kevin O'Connell. He was WAY too silly, wagging when he was moving to meet mustard under breeder judge Patrick Jones in the stiff BBE class. I should have kept him in puppy, but had his cousin Prince showing in that class with me handling. I am still pleased and thank you to John C Forbes for the great movement shot from DCA Futurity!
Just two weeks after the National Newman went to the Heartland Dalmatian Club of Greater KC Specialty and all-breed shows in Topeka, KS. He won a Specialty Supported 4 pt major RWD under breeder judge John Cramer and a HDC Specialty RWD 5 pt major under judge Grace Fritz. This boy isn't quite ready for the big wins yet, but we are seeing his potential! He is a slower maturer like his mom Simone. He will come all together. Watch for him soon!
