Five Weeks Old

Little Turkeys
November 25, 2023This is the week that I really like to get a good idea of my “picks” for the litter. I confirm my picks when I stack them at 8 weeks. Some breeders like to pick at 7 weeks and/or 8 weeks. I find mine have a wonky growth spurt at weeks 7 and it’s not the best time to pick. At week six the legs can be a bit short but everything else is there. By 8 weeks they are usually balanced out again.
Thanksgiving is tomorrow so we (me and the pups) did these very quickly. GIrl 6 wouldn’t cooperate, she’s busy and has ALOT to do, she says. 🙂
