"Ripley", JLS Believe It Or Not RN (L), earns 4 Q's, all 1st Placements and finishes his Level 1 CPE Agility title. In the process he got his 15th Q and qualified for the CPE Nationals next year. Good job to Ripley and Mom Susan Zimmerman!
"Sabrina", New Champion JLS Sabrina Fair (Decker x Shady Lady), takes a 4 Point Major WB/BOW at the Heartland Dalmatian Club Specialty show (1) and a 4 Point Major WB/BOW/BOS over a bitch special at the supported all-breed show for her 4th Major to finish her Championship at just over 18 months old in very limited showing.

"Skookum" (Newt x FloJo) - On Sunday after the Puget Sound Dalmatian Club Specialties, Seaspecs One Skookum Girl NAJ nailed her two runs at the agility trial at Marymoor Park. Competing in Open Jumpers with Weaves and Novice Standard, she received two qualifying scores and two first place ribbons, beating some tough competition. Skookum is trained and shown by Nadine Morgan and was bred by Nadine Morgan and Bonnie Rose.
"Willis", CH JLS KillCreek Last Boy Scout (L), takes WD for a 3 point Major to finish his Championship at the Sammanish KC show in Redmond, WA. Big Congratulations to Glenda Gray on her new Champion!
"Newt", BISS CH JLS Just A Fig Newton (L), takes two out of three days entered BOB's at the Leavenworth Kennel Club and Heart of America Kennel club shows in Kansas City, KS.

"Freckle Nose" and "Perky" turned 13 years old on Wednesday, July 18, 2007! Happy Birthday babies! Freckle Nose and Perky are littermates from my very first litter in 1994! A litter of 10 all bilateral, with two blue eyes. They are out of my wonderful, super smart, one-in-a-million, "Barkley" (1993) and sired by my first Dalmatian "Chewy" (1991), both deceased now.
"Bookie", JLS Taking Bets At Paradox, takes WD 3 days in a row (of three days entered) at the San Antonio, TX shows! Good job to owner/handler Lisah Shaklovitz!
"Herby", Ch All Around Meant To Be O'Pal, a Newt son, takes a Specialty BOS at the Dalmatian Club of North Texas and a Specialty Supported BOB at the Saturday all breed show. Good job to owner/handler Jana Rodes and Herby!

"D'Leo", JLS Roaring To Go RA ASCA CD, Newt's son, earns his Novice A Rally Advanced title at the Oklahoma City Cluster! Good job to Jane Neely and D'Leo! Jane said that D'Leo was a great Dalmatian ambassador letting lots of kids pet and 'train' him to sit, down and stand. Good boy D'Leo!
"Sabrina", JLS Sabrina Fair, takes WB/BOW on Saturday and Sunday (June 30 and July 1st) at the Oklahoma City Cluster! Good girl Sabrina.
"Solo", Am/Can/Int Ch Fireday's Solar Eclipse CD RN, is Newt's first kid to earn her AKC CD, Companion Dog Obedience title. Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler/trainer Kim Huston!
"Blaze", Ch Lakeshore's Fire and Rein NA, NAJ, earned his first Open Standard leg at an Agility trial in Westminster MD with a Second Place. Daddy Newt is so very proud of his son. Good job Marilyn Kraus and Blaze!
"James Brown", Ch JLS I Feel Good RN and Certified Delta Therapy Dog, made the Kansas City Star newspaper! He visited the Johnson County Library and let kids read to him! What a great boy. Daddy Newt is so very proud of his son! Good job to Shirley May!

May 2007

"Oliver" and his Mom Cheryl Bullard celebrated his third Birthday on May 28 by participating in the Dog Jog, a fundraiser for A New Leash On Life, prisoners training service dogs. They won the dog and owner look a like contest and ran the whole 3k. Cheryl said, "They kept announcing Ollie was 3. Tons of people petted him and D'Leo also. He loved every dog he saw and every person he saw and got a huge prize too! He was a great ambassador for the breed as several people who petted him remarked that they thought most Dalmatians were mean." Good job to Cheryl and Oliver to prove that wrong!!
Seaspecs One Skookum Girl NAJ, "Skookum" earns two AKC FAST legs and with a Second Place. (BISS Ch JLS Just a Fig Newton x Am/Can Ch On the Spot Seaspecs Flojo CDX OA NAJ, Can CD, CPC, CGC). Bred, Owned and shown by Nadine Morgan and co bred by Bonnie Rose.
"Jinx" passed his TDI (Therapy Dog) test with flying colors! Congratulations to his Mom Christi Bone!
The Newt x Rachel puppies arrived on May 11, 2007!
Although we didn't bring home the ribbons we were pleased with our performance and the comments we received at the 2007 National Specialty. "Sabrina" showed very well and made the cut in Futurity, Sweeps and the 12 - 18 month class. "Newt" pulled a muscle but was able to make a grand appearance for the Top Twenty to James Brown' "I Feel Good". The applause and cheers gave me goosebumps and almost knocked me off my feet! Thank you to all for your support and encouragement. Unfortunately Newt was unable to show in BOB the next morning. He is now home and the stiffness is all gone! Thank you all for your concern and especially to Linda Scheller DVM of Laurel Dalmatians for her help and expertise!
"Herby, Herby, Herby" made the cut in BOB! Congratulations to Jana Rodes!

"Bookie" wins a Specialty supported Major RWD at the Galveston County Kennel Club show under breeder judge David Doane.
"Bookie" wins a DOH Specialty supported WD/BOW and BOB! for his third Major at the Houston Kennel Club under judge Sandra Wheat! WOW! Congratulations to Lisah Shaklovitz & Bookie!
"Bookie" wins WD at the Dalmatian Organization of Houson Specialty for his 2nd Major under breeder judge Jan Warren! Congratulations to owner handler Lisah Shaklovitz! Yea Bookie!
"Sabrina" takes a Specialty supported Major RWB during the Dalmatian Club of Greater St Louis Specialty weekend under judge Fred Bassett. She also won her Sweeps class!

"Sidda" takes another BOB in Canada at the Renaissance Dog Association show under judge Mr. T. Alexander. Nothing in group, but a very nice showing by our girl. Congrats to mom Patty Fyfe!
